To All the participating runners of the 22nd Nagano Marathon

As we sent the email on 25th March, The Nagano Marathon Organizing Committee decided to cancel the 22nd Nagano Marathon (planned to be held in Nagano City on 19th April, 2020) to prevent the spread of novel-coronavirus (COVID-19).

Regarding how to do with runners’ entry qualification of this year, the entrée fee will not be refunded; however, The Nagano Marathon Organizing Committee will take measures as below (Only for this year):

■ The Nagano Marathon Organizing Committee will send the participation awards to all the runners of the 22nd Nagano Marathon. (T-shirt, Number card, Finishers’ towel)
Runners of charity-entry (runners who paid 13,100JPY when applying) will also get the original friendship bracelet (missanga). It will be started to send the goods from around mid- May.

■ The runners of the 22nd Nagano Marathon can apply for the 23rd Nagano Marathon for 9,000JPY. (The normal entry fee of the 22nd was 12,100JPY.)
Also priority application of the 23nd Nagano Marathon will be accepted for the 22nd Nagano Marathon’s runners, which will be prior to the general entry application.
The detail will be announced in due course.

*The charity entry of the 22nd Nagano Marathon (additional 1,000JPY to 12,100) was donated to disaster-stricken area of the Typhoon 19 occurred in last October in Japan. The total amount of charity entry was 2,682,000JPY and donated to Japanese Red Cross Society, Nagano Branch on 16th March. Thank you very much for your great cooperation.
